eLearning has in recent years matured. It is now possible to prepare engaging learning courses that can be delivered in multiples ways, to the desktop of the learners. It can be integrated to Learning Management Systems to automatically record results and progress.

Many companies use it to reduce training costs by delivering training in a self paced way, without transport and accomodation costs, downtime losses. Ideal where learners are geographically spread, or you just cant afford to have everyone at training at once.

You maybe repeating the same training for inductions or new starters over and over. Often this can involve providing a manual to read, a simple written test, or informal induction. By using eLearning techniques to replace or complement existing induction procedures can provide a better integration, and understanding of the organisation.
